This is small roof terrace for client who needed some privacy. To provide variety, we alternated between ivy screens and wooden panels, balancing materials and colors. We inserted a series of glass files in the woodwork to allow more light in and provide a pattern in the design. We also added a wonderful, bold aubergine terracotta pot containing an attractive birch tree. The appearance of the terrace will eventually softens as the cedar turns more silvery and the grasses mature.
